VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE'S

Having spent nearly five decades in Tea Gardens of North Bengal & Assam, we felt strong need to take care of school dropout children and introduced the concept of Vocational Training Centre in the year 2011 (well before our honourable PM Narendra Modi’s Skill India Mission programme started on 15th July, 2015) as part of CSR program of M/S Andrew Yule Tea Company Limited and later expanded to other companies.

In 2011, under the CSR programme of M/S Andrew Yule Company Ltd( Tea Division),Niswarth started its first Vocational Training centre at Binnaguri town-98 kms from Siliguri where short vocational training courses from 6 months to one year were conducted from 2011- 2015 for the BPL children( school going as well as school drop outs)

In 2015, this centre was moved to another location,25 kms away from Binnaguri, and similar vocational courses were continued till 2019

CENTRE’S FOR SUSTAINENCE

In 2012, second centre was started as under the CSR programme of L.R.Berlia Social Foundation at Khaprail Bazar, 15 kms from Siliguri town targeting the remote areas of Siliguri town and tea gardens of Darjeeling District. This centre has completed Eight (8) years of vocational training in this area but currently stopped due to Covid.

In 2014, under the CSR programme of APPL (a division of TATA Tea), third vocational centre was started at Damdim Tea Estate located 45 kms from Siliguri and continuing there.

In all the above mentioned centres we have successfully educated 6835 Students in following courses. It is a matter of great satisfaction that many of our students are suitably employed within India as well as out of country in Singapore and Dubai.
